Prequalifying GMR as Your Framing Subcontractor
Every serious general contractor and production builder prequalifies subs before they bid — and GMR treats that as normal business, not an obstacle. Here is exactly what our prequalification packet contains and how fast you can have it.
What’s in the GMR prequalification packet
- Certificates of insurance — general liability and workers’ compensation, with your company named as certificate holder on request.
- W-9 and company legal information for GMR Construction LLC.
- License information for Georgia and South Carolina.
- References — builders and GCs we frame for, who can speak to schedule, quality, and invoicing.
- Safety program documentation.
- Company history — structural framing in the Savannah metro since 2011, from custom estates at The Ford Plantation and Palmetto Bluff to full-community production packages.
Why GCs prequalify — and why we make it easy
Prequalification protects your schedule: a sub who can’t document insurance, references, and financial stability is a schedule risk no bid price makes up for. Industry guidance (see Procore’s subcontractor prequalification library, linked below) recommends verifying insurance limits, safety record, trade experience, and references before a sub ever bids. GMR keeps that package current so the answer to “can you get us your prequal docs?” is always “same day.”
How to start
Call (912) 655-1512 or send a note through the estimate form with your company name and what you’re building. You’ll get the packet the same day, and if you have your own prequalification forms, we’ll complete and return them.
