Commercial, Multi-Family & Townhome Framing
Townhomes, apartments, and light commercial wood framing — crews, schedule discipline, and inspection-ready work at contract scale.
Attached and commercial construction is a different discipline from single-family framing: party walls and fire-rated separations, repeated unit layouts that punish any drift, tighter inspection sequencing, and a general contractor whose whole schedule hangs on the framing package. GMR frames townhomes, multi-family buildings, and light commercial wood structures across the Savannah metro and the Lowcountry — with the crew depth to keep multiple buildings moving at once.
Townhomes & attached housing
Party-wall and fire-separation assemblies framed to the approved details, with unit-to-unit consistency across an entire run.
Multi-family & apartments
Wood-frame apartment and condo buildings — repeated floor plates, stair and corridor framing, and staging that keeps trades stacked correctly.
Light commercial wood framing
Retail, office, restaurant, and mixed-use wood structures built to the commercial plan set and inspection sequence.
Built for the GC's schedule
Crew capacity to run buildings in parallel, dried-in dates committed in writing, and clean sites your superintendent doesn't have to police.
Commercial & Multi-Family — Common Questions
Do you frame townhomes and attached housing?
Yes — townhomes and attached housing are core work for us. The technical demands differ from single-family: party walls and fire-separation assemblies must be framed exactly to the approved details, and unit-to-unit consistency matters across an entire run. We build to the sealed plan set and the approved assembly details, every unit the same.
What size multi-family projects can GMR take?
We frame wood-frame multi-family and apartment buildings and can run multiple buildings in parallel. Rather than quote a capacity number that may not fit your project, send the plans and schedule — we will tell you straight what we can commit to and by when.
Do you do commercial framing as well as residential?
Yes — light commercial wood framing for retail, office, restaurant, and mixed-use structures, built to the commercial plan set and inspection sequence. To be clear about scope: GMR is a wood framing specialist. We do not self-perform light-gauge steel stud or structural steel packages, and we will tell you that up front rather than learn it on your schedule.
Can GMR meet a commercial GC’s prequalification requirements?
Yes. General liability and workers’ compensation are in force, certificates naming your company are available on request, and we keep a prequalification packet ready to send the same day. See our builder prequalification page for what it contains.
